Always use the minimum absorption suitable for your flow. Change your tampon every 4-6 hours. Preferably use intimate protective products for external use at night. Lightweight: For very light to light flows. Absorption: less than 6g Regular: For light to medium flows. Absorption: 6-9g Super: For medium to abundant flows. Absorption: 9-12g Super Plus: For very abundant flows. Absorption: 12-15g Consult the composition in case of predispositions for example to intolerances, allergies or irritations. What you need to know about Toxic Shock Syndrome (TS): TBS is a rare but serious disease that can sometimes be fatal when combined with the use of tampons. It is caused by toxins produced by a bacterium called Staphylococcus Aureus that is often present in the nose and vagina. About half of the cases are associated with the use of tampons; the remaining cases affect men, children and women who are not settled. TBS is treated, but timely diagnosis and treatment are paramount. What are the warning signs? Sudden high fever (usually over 39C), vomiting, diarrhea, sunburn-like rash, sore throat, dizziness and/or fainting, muscle pain. Not all symptoms of TBS may occur simultaneously. TBS can quickly shift from symptoms close to influenza to a serious illness that can be fatal. If you have one or more of these symptoms, you should immediately remove your tampon and, if possible, keep it for testing, and contact a doctor. Describe your symptoms, whether you are wearing a tampon and are concerned with TBS. Consult your doctor if you have any questions about TBS or the use of tampons. If you have a history of TBS consult your doctor; it is often recommended by the doctor not to use tampons again. How to reduce the risk of SCT: Studies show that buffers with high absorption increase the risk of TS. As a result, you can limit the risk of TBS by using the minimum absorption buffer suitable for your menstrual flow. You can reduce the risk of TBS by alternating the use of tampons and sanitary napkins. Wash hands before use and removal. Insert the applicator into the vagina up to the handle. Push the small tube of the applicator to release the tampon. Remove the entire applicator, leaving the pad inside and the removal cord out. For removal, relax and gently pull the cord down at the same angle as the insert. Use only one pad at a time. Stamps are designed only for menstruation. Never use a tampon in anticipation of your period or between your periods or for white loss. Change your tampon every 4-6 hours. Remember to remove your last tampon at the end of your period. Do not throw the tampon, applicator and its envelope into the toilet.
