• Corte Ba' Vialone Nano Raffinato (or White) rice is an Italian artisan product, grown in the rice fields of the lower Veronese area, in the Isola della Scala area.
• The Vialone Nano Raffinato (or White) rice from Corte Ba' is processed in an artisanal way in an ancient pile, dating back to 1648. The slow and methodical processing guarantees the maintenance of the organoleptic characteristics and perfect cooking.
• In particular, the "Refined" or "White" processing of the Corte Ba' is not total. That is to say that we prefer it to remain just a little "darker" - with a layer of husks - because it improves cooking resistance, nutritional and organoleptic properties. Although it is an excellent product, ideal for any type of risotto, the "semi-finished" version of this same product is more recommended.
• Corte Ba' Vialone Nano Raffinato rice has a short and rounded grain and remains well shelled after cooking thanks to the high presence of starch. It holds up to cooking very well, even after it has been prepared for a long time. It is a rice with a great absorption capacity, suitable for all types of risotto: from meat to vegetables to fish. Tasty even on its own. Also ideal for rice salads.
• Corte Ba' Vialone Nano Raffinato rice is guaranteed residue-free like organic rice, through multi-residue tests carried out on the ears before harvesting. Weed control is entrusted to mechanical tillage of the soil.

Product description

The Falavigna agricultural company was founded in 1976 and is exclusively family-run. It is located in the municipality of Trevenzuolo and uses water mainly from the Povegliano springs. Born as a livestock farm, since 1999 it has become exclusively agricultural and was certified organic until 2019. It then left the certification due to 2019 ministerial regulations, which would have left it with half the land arable for rice. The sustainable vocation has however remained unchanged.
