• Sideritis (Sideritis scardica), also known as, mountain tea, or Olympic tea, is one of the most popular and valued herbal plants in the Mediterranean. It is especially appreciated in Greece, where it was served to soldiers returning from war expeditions. The Latin name "Sideritis" comes from the word meaning "iron", which clearly indicates its use in times of weakness as an herb supporting immunity and regeneration.
• Our Sideritis flowers are harvested from uncultivated land and mountains in southern Albania. Therefore, they are not exposed to commonly used pesticides. Raw materials are dried in gas dryers, which guarantees that the right temperature is maintained throughout the drying period and does not expose the product to carbon or pellet smoke (common in small companies).
• Our raw material is cut so that it is perfect for brewing; it is not too thick, so it fits easily in a tea infuser. Mild in taste, it goes perfectly with other herbs that support immunity, such as linden flower and elderberry fruit. It is also common to add honey and lemon.
• It is best to buy mountain tea from controlled organic cultivation (BIO, organic). As with other herbal plants cultivated and processed according to the rules of certified organic farming, the use of artificial fertilizers and chemical plant protection products is forbidden, which guarantees that the consumer receives a 100% natural and healthy product.

Directions

Brewing: Pour hot water (about 90C) over 1-2 teaspoons per cup. Brew for 5-7 minutes. Filter if necessary and serve. Suitable for mixing with other herbs such as lime flower and elderberry. Add honey and lemon to taste.
